The Vieux Carré Historic District (French Quarter) is the second oldest historic district in the United States with approximately 4,000 structures regulated by the Vieux Carré Commission. The VCC Foundation and Vieux Carré Commission (VCC) are partnering to offer this free webinar designed to help property owners, tenants, and interested parties more smoothly navigate the VCC processes and procedures.

In this first lecture, Renee Bourgogne, the VCC’s Senior Architectural Historian, will take us through the basics of the VCC: jurisdiction, where to find pertinent information, the application/permitting process, etc. The webinar will be held via Zoom on August 20, 2020 at 5:30pm. After the presentation, Renee will answer questions submitted through the Zoom Chat Box. Attendees will need to attend via a computer or tablet in order to see the presentation or ask questions. We will turn these questions into a handy FAQ sheet to be used for quick reference!

Future webinars/courses will build on the information presented at this first webinar so property owners and interested parties can learn more about how to work with the VCC, take care of their historic properties, ask questions, and get answers. Pretty soon everyone will be an expert! We hope to see you there!

This event is FREE and open to the public. Donations are encouraged so we can keep bringing you free programming and continue to preserve the spirit of the Vieux Carré.
